My name is Santel Phin.

I live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Does it make sense to you? When someone mentions Cambodia, what’s the first thing you think of? Maybe Khmer Rouge? Killing Field? Angkor Wat? Amok? or Smile?

Now you get a new name to think of when next time someone mentions about Cambodia.

I started my first blog KhmerBird since 2006. I knew nothing about blogging at that time. I created my first blog to share my passion in writing and anything came to my mind. It was a mixed topics blog.

I later reorganized the blog and keep it focus on providing good information about Cambodia, travel and tourism. The blog has a lot of traffic but I still could not make any benefit from it. I have tried many Pay Per Click (PPC) and affiliate programs. I didn’t get any good result from my efforts.

Until one day I sat and tracked down my visitors. I wanted to know who they are. What did they want when they came to my blog.

I realized there are a lot of difference between new visitors and returned visitors which could tell me that I need to focus on Adsense. I started to designed new layout where I added few more Adsense boxes at the good positions to get high click-through rate (CTR).

By simply moving to that direction, I can increased triple of the revenue from the blog.

This is one of key that I don’t believe it at the beginning.

My obvious advice to you is that you have to believe and focus on your blog, tracking down your visitors to know who they are and provide what they want.

This will surely make you success in making money blogging.
